Jason Abercrombie is a director and corporate credit analyst at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). He is part of the leveraged finance team covering the technology and consumer cyclical services industries.

David Albrycht, CFA, is president and chief investment officer of Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Mr. Albrycht is the senior portfolio manager of several multi-sector fixed income strategies, some dating back to the early 1990s. In his role as CIO, Mr. Albrycht drives top-down strategy for Newfleet’s investment platform, which includes multi-sector and dedicated sector strategies for high yield and bank loans. In addition to managing mutual funds and variable investment options in these strategies, Mr. Albrycht is co-manager of two closed-end funds, Virtus Total Return Fund Inc. Prior to joining Newfleet in 2011, Mr. Albrycht was executive managing director and senior portfolio manager with Goodwin Capital Advisers, a former investment management subsidiary of Newfleet’s parent, Virtus Investment Partners. Prior to that role, Mr. Albrycht was director of credit research at Goodwin’s predecessor, Phoenix Investment Counsel (PIC). In addition, he managed the Phoenix MISTIC CDO, a $1 billion multi-sector collateralized debt obligation, for which he was responsible for credit analysis and deal structure. He joined the PIC multi-sector fixed income team in 1985 as a credit analyst and has managed fixed income portfolios since 1991.

Before joining Stone Harbor, Mr. Berkery served as an executive director and portfolio manager for the Convertible Bond Securities Fund at UBS O’Connor while managing small mid-cap long / short equity portfolios. Benjamin Caron, CFA, is a senior managing director and portfolio manager at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Mr. Caron is co-portfolio manager and assists in the management of several multi-sector fixed income open-end and closed-end mutual funds, ETFs, and off-shore vehicles that the team manages.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2011, Mr. Caron was on the multi-sector portfolio management team at Goodwin Capital Advisers, the former Phoenix Investment Counsel (PIC). He joined PIC in 2002 as a client service associate for the institutional markets group focusing on institutional fixed income clients. Earlier in his career, he was with Fidelity Investments, where he was responsible for client management and sales in the managed account group.

Prior to joining Newfleet in 2023, Mr. Culmone was a portfolio manager for investment grade as part of the Multi-Asset Credit Team at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, a division of VFIA. He continues to have trading and portfolio management responsibilities for Stone Harbor branded accounts under both the Newfleet and Stone Harbor divisions of VFIA. Before joining Stone Harbor, Mr. Culmone was a director and portfolio manager for Citigroup Asset Management responsible for U.S. fixed income. Prior to Citigroup, Mr. Culmone served as a fixed income trader and portfolio manager for Smith Barney Capital Management where he co-managed balanced accounts and separately managed institutional bond portfolios. Prior to that, he was a fixed income trader and municipal liaison for Smith Barney Inc. Earlier in his career, Mr. Culmone held the role of an account executive for Moore & Scheley Municipals. He began his career as an associate financial analyst at the Westinghouse Elevator Company.

Kyle Jennings, CFA, is a senior managing director and the head of credit research at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Mr. Jennings is a portfolio manager of Newfleet’s leveraged finance strategies and co-portfolio manager of the Newfleet Bank Loans and Global Multi-Sector Income strategies.
Mr. Jennings is a member of Newfleet’s corporate credit research team and currently covers the healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and gaming industries within the leveraged finance markets. He is also a member of the team that formulates the leveraged finance strategy for the multi-sector fixed income strategies.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2011, Mr. Jennings was on the fixed income team at Goodwin Capital Advisers, joining the predecessor, Phoenix Investment Counsel, in 1998. Before that, he was a credit research analyst in the banking industry for Shawmut Bank, Ironwood Capital, and Citizens Bank.

Peter Lannigan is a senior managing director and head of emerging markets at Newfleet Asset Management.
Mr. Lannigan has over 20 years of experience on both the buy-side and sell-side of emerging markets investing. Prior to joining Newfleet in 2017, Mr. Lannigan was a principal with Macroeconomic & Cross-Border Advisory where he advised investors on emerging markets fixed income investment strategies. Previous affiliations also include Cowen Group (managing director, emerging markets desk strategist), where he conducted emerging markets sovereign and corporate credit research and developed credit, rate, and currency recommendations for a model portfolio; Exotix Limited (director), where he focused on Latin American fixed income research and formulated global macroeconomic, credit, interest rate, and currency views; and Harbert Management Corporation (equity partner and senior managing director) and Northshore Asset Management (managing director, portfolio manager), at which he established and managed global/macro emerging market hedge funds. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lannigan worked at Phoenix Investment Counsel with his current Newfleet colleagues on the multi-sector fixed income team analyzing sovereign risk of emerging market countries and credit risk of quasi-sovereigns and corporates. He also managed an emerging markets mutual fund at Phoenix.
Mr. Lannigan earned a bachelor of business administration from the University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Management and an M.B.A. in finance from the Babson College F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. He is a CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) charterholder. He holds the Series 7 and 63 licenses. He began his career in the investment industry in 1989.

Francesco Ossino is a senior managing director, senior portfolio manager, and bank loan sector head at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Mr. Ossino is a portfolio manager of Newfleet’s leveraged finance strategies and senior portfolio manager of Newfleet’s Bank Loans strategy.
Prior to joining Virtus in 2012, Mr. Ossino was a portfolio manager at Hartford Investment Management Company (2004-2011) and Hartford Funds subadviser Wellington Management (2012), where he managed mutual funds focused on bank loans and a commingled bank loan portfolio for institutional investors. Previously, he held a variety of credit analyst and portfolio management positions at CIGNA (2002-2004), HVB Bank (2000-2002), and FleetBoston Financial (1996-2000).
Mr. Ossino earned his M.S. in international economics and finance from Brandeis University and Luigi Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and a B.S. in economics, cum laude, from Brandeis University. He began his career in the investment industry in 1996.
Christine Ouellette is a director and portfolio manager at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). She is a member of the multi-sector portfolio management team. Working with the senior portfolio manager, Ms. Ouellette is responsible for managing a variety of multi-sector fixed income portfolios, including open-end mutual funds, closed-end funds, variable insurance funds, ETFs, and offshore vehicles the team manages.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2011, Ms. Ouellette was on the multi-sector portfolio management team at Goodwin Capital Advisers. Ms. Ouellette joined Goodwin’s predecessor, Phoenix Investment Counsel, in 2000 as a settlements analyst, resolving issues related to trading activities, wire transfers, security movements, corporate actions, and income collections. Earlier in her career, Ms. Ouellette was responsible for client account management at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.

Kathleen Richter is a marketing and portfolio support associate at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Ms. Richter supports the portfolio management team in various capacities and is responsible for coordinating the firm’s operational efforts.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2012, Ms. Richter was a new business transition manager at MassMutual, where she coordinated all aspects of the plan asset transfer process. Prior to that Ms. Richter worked as a compliance coordinator at The Phoenix Companies.
Ms. Richter earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Bay Path University. She began her career in financial services in 2012.
Nick Rinaldi is a senior managing director and portfolio manager of securitized products at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Mr. Rinaldi is co-head of the securitized products team, specializing in asset-backed and commercial mortgage-backed securities. In addition, Mr. Rinaldi is a co-portfolio manager of a securitized product ETF.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2011, he held a similar role on the fixed income team at Goodwin Capital Advisers. Mr. Rinaldi began his career at Goodwin Capital’s predecessor, Phoenix Investment Counsel, in 1992 and joined the multi-sector fixed income team in 1994 as a credit analyst for the securitized products sector, focusing on asset-backed, commercial mortgage-backed, and residential mortgage-backed securities.
Mr. Rinaldi earned a B.S. in finance from Northeastern University and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Connecticut. He began his career in the investment industry in 1992.
Hunter Schwarz is a corporate credit analyst at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). He is part of the leveraged finance team covering retailers, restaurants, supermarkets, consumer products, leisure & lodging, and food/beverage/tobacco industries.

Before joining Stone Harbor, Mr. Schwarz was a fixed income trade support analyst for Citigroup Asset Management where he was responsible for evaluating high yield securities in the aerospace, defense, and healthcare industries. Before joining Citigroup Asset Management, he served as an associate in the structured products group at Deutsche Bank.

David Scott is a portfolio manager for the Multi-Asset Credit Strategies and developed markets sector manager at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”).
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2023, Mr. Scott was a portfolio manager for multi-sector strategies and investment grade as part of the Multi-Asset Credit Team at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, a division of VFIA. He continues to have portfolio management responsibilities for Stone Harbor branded accounts under both the Newfleet and Stone Harbor divisions of VFIA. Before joining Stone Harbor, Mr. Scott was a managing director, investment policy committee member and head of the traditional investment group responsible for the traditional bond product at Salomon Brothers Asset Management. Prior to that, he served as a global fixed income portfolio manager at J.P. Morgan Investment Management. Daniel Senecal is a managing director and credit analyst at Newfleet Asset Management. He is a sector manager within the emerging markets analyzing both sovereign and corporate debt.
In addition, Mr. Senecal is co-portfolio manager of the Virtus Global Multi-Sector Income Fund (NYSE: VGI), a closed-end fund.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2011, Mr. Senecal was on the fixed income team at Goodwin Capital Advisers. He began at Goodwin Capital’s predecessor, Phoenix Investment Counsel, in 1997 as a corporate credit research analyst, followed by several roles, including sector manager for investment grade corporate credit and sovereign credit, as well as portfolio manager for high yield and emerging market debt strategies.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Senecal completed a formal credit training program at Shawmut National Bank where he was a credit research analyst and lender. He also worked at BankBoston as a corporate bond analyst.

Angela Sheen, CFA, is a credit analyst, securitized products at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Ms. Sheen supports the securitized products team with research on asset-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, and agency and non-agency residential mortgage-backed securities.

Mike Sollicito, FRM, is chief operating officer at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Mr. Sollicito supports Newfleet’s business activities, including assisting the firm’s president in managing the profitability and marketability of Newfleet’s fixed income strategies and overseeing operations. In addition, he chairs Newfleet’s risk management oversight committee, responsible for monitoring and oversight of all strategies advised by Newfleet to ensure investment team is managing, monitoring, and mitigating portfolio risks appropriately, facilitating investment team accountability.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2013, Mr. Sollicito was a fixed income product specialist for Virtus Investment Partners, where he was responsible for strategy positioning/marketplace research and developing product opportunities, as well as responsibilities of monitoring and reporting of covered strategies to the Investment Oversight Committee. Mr. Sollicito joined Virtus in 2005 as a member of the retail distribution team. Previously, he was a financial advisor with Omega Financial Group, LLC for eight years and with Prudential Preferred Financial Services before then.
Mr. Sollicito earned a B.A. in economics from the University of Connecticut and holds the FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses. Mr. Sollicito is a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM). He began his career in the investment industry in 1997.
Andrew Szabo, CFA, is a senior managing director and portfolio manager of securitized products at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Mr. Szabo is co-head of the securitized products team, specializing in agency and non-agency residential mortgage-backed securities. In addition, Mr. Szabo is a co-portfolio manager of a securitized product ETF.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2011, Mr. Szabo held a similar role on the fixed income team at Goodwin Capital Advisers. David Albrycht, CFA, is president and chief investment officer of Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Mr. Albrycht is the senior portfolio manager of several multi-sector fixed income strategies, some dating back to the early 1990s. In his role as CIO, Mr. Albrycht drives top-down strategy for Newfleet’s investment platform, which includes multi-sector and dedicated sector strategies for high yield and bank loans. Zachary Szyndlar, CFA, is a managing director, portfolio manager, and credit analyst of securitized products at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Mr. Szyndlar supports the securitized products team with research on asset-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, and agency and non-agency residential mortgage-backed securities. He is also responsible for leveraged finance credit research covering the chemicals, banking, brokerage/asset managers, finance companies, life, P&C, health insurance, REITS, and other financial industries. Peter Lannigan is a senior managing director and head of emerging markets at Newfleet Asset Management.
Mr. Lannigan has over 20 years of experience on both the buy-side and sell-side of emerging markets investing. Prior to joining Newfleet in 2017, Mr. Lannigan was a principal with Macroeconomic & Cross-Border Advisory where he advised investors on emerging markets fixed income investment strategies. Previous affiliations also include Cowen Group (managing director, emerging markets desk strategist), where he conducted emerging markets sovereign and corporate credit research and developed credit, rate, and currency recommendations for a model portfolio; Exotix Limited (director), where he focused on Latin American fixed income research and formulated global macroeconomic, credit, interest rate, and currency views; and Harbert Management Corporation (equity partner and senior managing director) and Northshore Asset Management (managing director, portfolio manager), at which he established and managed global/macro emerging market hedge funds. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lannigan worked at Phoenix Investment Counsel with his current Newfleet colleagues on the multi-sector fixed income team analyzing sovereign risk of emerging market countries and credit risk of quasi-sovereigns and corporates. He also managed an emerging markets mutual fund at Phoenix.

Prior to joining Virtus in 2012, Mr. Ossino was a portfolio manager at Hartford Investment Management Company (2004-2011) and Hartford Funds subadviser Wellington Management (2012), where he managed mutual funds focused on bank loans and a commingled bank loan portfolio for institutional investors. Previously, he held a variety of credit analyst and portfolio management positions at CIGNA (2002-2004), HVB Bank (2000-2002), and FleetBoston Financial (1996-2000).
Mr. Ossino earned his M.S. in international economics and finance from Brandeis University and Luigi Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and a B.S. in economics, cum laude, from Brandeis University. He began his career in the investment industry in 1996.
Nick Rinaldi is a senior managing director and portfolio manager of securitized products at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Mr. Rinaldi is co-head of the securitized products team, specializing in asset-backed and commercial mortgage-backed securities. Before joining Stone Harbor, Mr. Schwarz was a fixed income trade support analyst for Citigroup Asset Management where he was responsible for evaluating high yield securities in the aerospace, defense, and healthcare industries. Before joining Citigroup Asset Management, he served as an associate in the structured products group at Deutsche Bank.

Daniel Senecal is a managing director and credit analyst at Newfleet Asset Management. He is a sector manager within the emerging markets analyzing both sovereign and corporate debt.

Prior to that, he was a fixed income trader and municipal liaison for Smith Barney Inc. Earlier in his career, Mr. Culmone held the role of an account executive for Moore & Scheley Municipals. He began his career as an associate financial analyst at the Westinghouse Elevator Company.

David Albrycht, CFA, is president and chief investment officer of Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Mr. Albrycht is the senior portfolio manager of several multi-sector fixed income strategies, some dating back to the early 1990s. Prior to joining Newfleet in 2023, Mr. Berkery was a portfolio manager and global credit analyst as part of the Multi-Asset Credit Team at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, a division of VFIA. He continues to have credit analyst responsibilities for Stone Harbor branded accounts under both the Newfleet and Stone Harbor divisions of VFIA. Before joining Stone Harbor, Mr. Berkery served as an executive director and portfolio manager for the Convertible Bond Securities Fund at UBS O’Connor while managing small mid-cap long / short equity portfolios. Earlier in his career, he served as a director and portfolio manager for convertible funds at Salomon Brothers Asset Management, and also held the role of an equity analyst responsible for covering technology, telecommunications, and media.
Mr. Berkery earned an A.B. in American history from Harvard University. He is a CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) charterholder. He began his career in the investment industry in 1991.
Jeffrey Albrycht is an assistant director, credit analyst & trader, securitized products at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”).
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2016, Mr. Albrycht was an intern at the firm, assisting with performance reporting and analytics.
Mr. Albrycht earned a B.S. in communications and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Connecticut. He began his career in the investment industry in 2016.
Kathleen Richter is a marketing and portfolio support associate at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Ms. Richter supports the portfolio management team in various capacities and is responsible for coordinating the firm’s operational efforts.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2012, Ms. Richter was a new business transition manager at MassMutual, where she coordinated all aspects of the plan asset transfer process. Prior to that Ms. Richter worked as a compliance coordinator at The Phoenix Companies.
Ms. Richter earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Bay Path University. She began her career in financial services in 2012.
Francesco Ossino is a senior managing director, senior portfolio manager, and bank loan sector head at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Mr. Ossino is a portfolio manager of Newfleet’s leveraged finance strategies and senior portfolio manager of Newfleet’s Bank Loans strategy.
Prior to joining Virtus in 2012, Mr. Ossino was a portfolio manager at Hartford Investment Management Company (2004-2011) and Hartford Funds subadviser Wellington Management (2012), where he managed mutual funds focused on bank loans and a commingled bank loan portfolio for institutional investors. Previously, he held a variety of credit analyst and portfolio management positions at CIGNA (2002-2004), HVB Bank (2000-2002), and FleetBoston Financial (1996-2000).
Mr. Ossino earned his M.S. in international economics and finance from Brandeis University and Luigi Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and a B.S. in economics, cum laude, from Brandeis University. He began his career in the investment industry in 1996.
Kyle Jennings, CFA, is a senior managing director and the head of credit research at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Mr. Jennings is a portfolio manager of Newfleet’s leveraged finance strategies and co-portfolio manager of the Newfleet Bank Loans and Global Multi-Sector Income strategies.
Mr. Jennings is a member of Newfleet’s corporate credit research team and currently covers the healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and gaming industries within the leveraged finance markets. He is also a member of the team that formulates the leveraged finance strategy for the multi-sector fixed income strategies.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2011, Mr. Jennings was on the fixed income team at Goodwin Capital Advisers, joining the predecessor, Phoenix Investment Counsel, in 1998. Before that, he was a credit research analyst in the banking industry for Shawmut Bank, Ironwood Capital, and Citizens Bank.
Mr. Jennings earned a B.S. in finance from the University of Connecticut. He is a CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) charterholder. He began his career in the investment industry in 1992.
Stephen Hooker, CFA, is a managing director and portfolio manager at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). He is a member of the multi-sector portfolio management team with primary responsibility for institutional accounts. He also serves as co-portfolio manager and assists in the management of several open-end and closed-end mutual funds.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2011, Mr. Hooker was vice president, senior credit analyst at Aladdin Capital Management and Global Plus Investment Management, respectively, both of which specialize in high yield and structured credit products. Prior to 2005, he was at Phoenix Investment Counsel for 12 years, serving in various capacities, including as a senior credit analyst and emerging markets sector manager on its fixed income team.
Mr. Hooker earned a B.A. in psychology from Trinity College. He is a CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) charterholder. He began his career in the investment industry in 1993.
Daniel Senecal is a managing director and credit analyst at Newfleet Asset Management. He is a sector manager within the emerging markets analyzing both sovereign and corporate debt.
In addition, Mr. Senecal is co-portfolio manager of the Virtus Global Multi-Sector Income Fund (NYSE: VGI), a closed-end fund.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2011, Mr. Senecal was on the fixed income team at Goodwin Capital Advisers. He began at Goodwin Capital’s predecessor, Phoenix Investment Counsel, in 1997 as a corporate credit research analyst, followed by several roles, including sector manager for investment grade corporate credit and sovereign credit, as well as portfolio manager for high yield and emerging market debt strategies.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Senecal completed a formal credit training program at Shawmut National Bank where he was a credit research analyst and lender. He also worked at BankBoston as a corporate bond analyst.
Mr. Senecal earned a B.A. in economics and English from Assumption College and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Connecticut. He is a CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) charterholder. He began his career in the investment industry in 1990.
Peter Lannigan is a senior managing director and head of emerging markets at Newfleet Asset Management.
Mr. Lannigan has over 20 years of experience on both the buy-side and sell-side of emerging markets investing. Prior to joining Newfleet in 2017, Mr. Lannigan was a principal with Macroeconomic & Cross-Border Advisory where he advised investors on emerging markets fixed income investment strategies. Previous affiliations also include Cowen Group (managing director, emerging markets desk strategist), where he conducted emerging markets sovereign and corporate credit research and developed credit, rate, and currency recommendations for a model portfolio; Exotix Limited (director), where he focused on Latin American fixed income research and formulated global macroeconomic, credit, interest rate, and currency views; and Harbert Management Corporation (equity partner and senior managing director) and Northshore Asset Management (managing director, portfolio manager), at which he established and managed global/macro emerging market hedge funds. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lannigan worked at Phoenix Investment Counsel with his current Newfleet colleagues on the multi-sector fixed income team analyzing sovereign risk of emerging market countries and credit risk of quasi-sovereigns and corporates. He also managed an emerging markets mutual fund at Phoenix.
Mr. Lannigan earned a bachelor of business administration from the University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Management and an M.B.A. in finance from the Babson College F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. He is a CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) charterholder. He holds the Series 7 and 63 licenses. He began his career in the investment industry in 1989.
Eric Hess, CFA, is a senior managing director, portfolio manager and high yield sector co-head at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). He is also responsible for credit research of the energy sector. In addition, Mr. Hess is portfolio manager of the Newfleet High Yield and Short Duration High Income strategies.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2011, Mr. Hess was on the fixed income team at Goodwin Capital Advisers. He joined Goodwin Capital’s corporate credit research group in 2010. Previous to joining Goodwin, he was a credit analyst for The Travelers Companies.
Mr. Hess earned a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Notre Dame, and he is a CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) charterholder. He began his career in the investment industry in 2006.
Ryan Jungk, CFA, is a senior managing director, corporate credit analyst and investment grade corporate sector co-head at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). He is also responsible for covering investment grade financials, REITS, consumer, healthcare, building, industrial, metals & mining, aerospace/defense, auto, and retail industries.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2012, Mr. Jungk was a junior fixed income analyst at the Knights of Columbus, serving as a sector generalist.
Mr. Jungk earned a B.B.A. from Stetson University. He is a CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) charterholder. He began his career in the investment industry in 2010.
Justin Audet is a director and corporate credit analyst at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). He is part of the leveraged finance team covering the following industries: packaging & paper, forest products, auto, environmental, aerospace/defense, airlines, transportation services, and metals & mining.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2013, Mr. Audet was an investment associate at Regent Wealth Management Group for two years, providing research, analysis, and trading for client accounts. Earlier, he was a performance analyst with Xerox Corporation.
Mr. Audet earned a B.A. in psychology from Saint Michael’s College and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut. He has passed Level II of the CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) Program. He began his career in the investment industry in 2004.
Jason Abercrombie is a director and corporate credit analyst at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). He is part of the leveraged finance team covering the technology and consumer cyclical services industries.
Mr. Abercrombie earned a B.S in finance, magna cum laude, from Central Connecticut State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut. He began his career in the investment industry in 2013.
Matthew Kearns, CFA, is a portfolio manager and high yield sector co-head at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). He is also responsible for leveraged finance credit research covering the chemicals, banking, brokerage/asset managers, finance companies, life, P&C, health insurance, REITS, and other financial industries. In addition, Mr. Kearns is portfolio manager of the Newfleet High Yield and European High Yield strategies.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2023, Mr. Kearns was a portfolio manager for U.S. and European high yield as part of the Multi-Asset Credit Team at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, a division of VFIA. He continues to have portfolio management responsibilities for Stone Harbor branded accounts under both the Newfleet and Stone Harbor divisions of VFIA. Before joining Stone Harbor, Mr. Kearns was an analyst at Citigroup Asset Management evaluating corporate securities where he was responsible for covering the broadcasting, entertainment / leisure, towers, publishing, chemicals, and utilities industries.

Previously, Mr. Lavan served as an investment policy committee member at Salomon Brothers Asset Management and as a research analyst for institutional investment grade fixed income for Salomon Brothers Inc.

Prior to joining Newfleet in 2023, Mr. Parker was a global credit analyst as part of the Multi-Asset Credit Team at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, a division of VFIA. He continues to have credit analyst responsibilities for Stone Harbor branded accounts under both the Newfleet and Stone Harbor divisions of VFIA. Before joining Stone Harbor, he served as a high yield credit sector specialist at Citigroup where he was a desk analyst responsible for covering cable, telecoms, media, and technology, across high yield and leveraged loans. Previously, he served as a senior credit products underwriter at Bank of America in addition to prior roles in underwriting and portfolio management.
Mr. Parker earned a B.A. in Economics from Union College and an M.B.A. in Finance from Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. He began his career in the investment industry in 2000.
Hunter Schwarz is a corporate credit analyst at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). He is part of the leveraged finance team covering retailers, restaurants, supermarkets, consumer products, leisure & lodging, and food/beverage/tobacco industries.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2023, Mr. Schwarz was a portfolio manager for leveraged loans as part of the Multi-Asset Credit Team at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, a division of VFIA. Before joining Stone Harbor, Mr. Schwarz was a fixed income trade support analyst for Citigroup Asset Management where he was responsible for evaluating high yield securities in the aerospace, defense, and healthcare industries. Before joining Citigroup Asset Management, he served as an associate in the structured products group at Deutsche Bank.
Mr. Schwarz earned a B.S. in marketing from Lehigh University. He began his career in the investment industry in 2003.
David Scott is a portfolio manager for the Multi-Asset Credit Strategies and developed markets sector manager at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”).

Before joining Stone Harbor, Mr. Scott was a managing director, investment policy committee member and head of the traditional investment group responsible for the traditional bond product at Salomon Brothers Asset Management. Prior to that, he served as a global fixed income portfolio manager at J.P. Morgan Investment Management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Scott served as a U.S. dollar portfolio manager at Mercury Asset Management and held the role of a consultant actuary for the Wyatt Company.
Mr. Scott earned a B.Sc. in mathematics and economics from Nottingham University in England. He began his career in the investment industry in 1983.
Angela Sheen, CFA, is a credit analyst, securitized products at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). Ms. Sheen supports the securitized products team with research on asset-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, and agency and non-agency residential mortgage-backed securities.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2023, Ms. Sheen was a global credit analyst as part of the Multi-Asset Credit Team at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, a division of VFIA. She continues to have credit analyst responsibilities for Stone Harbor branded accounts under both Newfleet and Stone Harbor divisions of VFIA. Before joining Stone Harbor, she served as a director and senior analyst for Citigroup Asset Management responsible for high quality U.S. fixed income portfolios focused on short-duration fixed income securities, mortgage-backed securities and mortgage derivative products. Previously, Ms. Sheen served as an analyst for the Bond Portfolio Analysis Group at Salomon Brothers Inc.

Thomas Szaro is a trader at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). His primary responsibility is leveraged finance trading.
Prior to joining Newfleet in 2023, Mr. Szaro was a global corporate trader as part of the Multi-Asset Credit Team at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, a division of VFIA. He continues to have trading responsibilities for Stone Harbor branded accounts under both the Newfleet and Stone Harbor divisions of VFIA. Before joining Stone Harbor, he served as a senior high yield trader at Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC trading for all retail and institutional high yield accounts. Prior to Lord Abbett, Mr. Szaro served as high yield trader responsible for all high yield and investment grade trading at Muzinich & Co. He began his career at Andover Brokerage LLC as an equity trader.
Mr. Szaro earned a B.S. in Marketing from Rutgers University. He began his career in the investment industry in 1996.

Michael Turello is a corporate credit analyst at Newfleet Asset Management, a division of Virtus Fixed Income Advisers, LLC (“VFIA”). He is part of the investment grade team covering the energy, chemicals, utilities, and paper/packaging industries.
